Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit - Liquid Soil Amendments

As a more economical way to bring the same products you’ve seen us using to your door, we’ve partnered with Mirimichi Green to create the Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit. It consists of 3 products: Release ZERO™ or Release 901C™, Nutri-Kelp™ and ByoSpxtrum™.

Let’s dig into what each of them does.

Release ZERO™ is an organic biostimulant and soil enhancer that contains 10% micronized carbon to optimize nutrient absorption. It acts as a catalyst meaning it improves the performance of the products you apply along with it. Release Zero adds no NPK which is great since we’ll already be getting that from Nutri-Kelp™ and your liquid fertilizer of choice. 

Release 901C™ has all the features of Release ZERO™ plus the addition of 9% nitrogen and 1% potassium. It's a great option for anyone that wants to apply a high quality fertilizer along with their biostimulant. This saves time and money since you're getting 2 products in 1 for a small price increase.

Nutri-Kelp™ is a liquid fertilizer that contains 24% kelp extract. It uses the same NanoRelease micronization technology as Release Zero as a means to deliver vitamins, enzymes and essential nutrients to improve soil health. It contains 1% nitrogen, 1% phosphorus and 4% potassium. That might not sound like much, but it really doesn’t take much potassium to produce a real visual difference in grass color. 

 Finally, there’s ByoSpxtrum™. It’s a collection of microbes, microbial food sources and other ingredients to improve soil and plant health. The ingredients dramatically increase the number of beneficial microbes. So why is this a good thing? Well, more microbes help to break down thatch and other dead plant matter into useable nutrients.

Note: As of 3/1/2022, the color of ByoSpxtrum is white instead of black. Same product. Same effectiveness.

When To Apply Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit

The Carbon Kit is designed to improve soil quality during active growing months. For cool season lawns, (Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass and Turf Type Tall Fescue), this is going to be spring and fall.

For warm season lawns, (Bermuda, Zoysia, St Augustine, Centipede and Bahia), this is a great late spring to summer addition. The formulation helps improve the quality of your lawn and soil throughout the harshest times in the growing season.

Release ZERO™ Analysis: 0-0-0

• 32 ounces covers up to 16,000 sq. ft.

Release 901C™ Analysis: 9-0-1

• 32 ounces covers up to 16,000 sq. ft.

Nutri-Kelp ™ Analysis: 1-1-4

• 32 ounces covers up to 16,000 sq. ft.

ByoSpxtrum™ Analysis: 0-0-0

• 1 Capsule covers up to 5000 sq. ft.

All 3 products should be mixed together and applied at the same time. The application rates assume 1 gallon of product mixture will be applied over 1000 sq. ft. You’ll need to multiply the rates above by the number of gallons you’re spraying. For best results, we recommend using this TeeJet foliar spray tip.

 Example: 5000 sq. ft. lawn using a 4-gallon backpack sprayer.

1. Fill sprayer tank halfway full of water.
2. Add 8 fluid ounces of Release ZERO™ or Release 901C™ and 8 fluid ounces of Nutri-Kelp™ to tank.
3. Mix 1 ByoSpxtrum™ capsule contents with 20 fluid ounces of water and add 16 ounces to tank. You should have 4 ounces remaining.
4. Agitate tank
5. Add water to sprayer tank until full
6. Agitate tank
7. Spray 4000 sq. ft. section of lawn with the 4-gallon mixture.

 Instructions for remaining 1000 square feet

8. Add 1 gallon of water to sprayer
9. Add 2 fluid ounces of Release ZERO™ or Release 901C™ and 2 fluid ounces of Nutri-Kelp™ to tank.
10. Add remaining 4 ounces of ByoSpxtrum™ mix to tank.
11. Agitate tank
12. Spray remaining 1000 sq. ft. section of lawn with 1-gallon mixture

Application: Battery-powered 4 gallon sprayer with  TeeJet foliar spray tip recommended.

When to Apply: Whenever your grass is actively growing. Top dressing and aeration does not reduce product effectiveness.

Product is safe for warm and cool season lawns.

Coverage: 5000 or 10,000 square feet depending on kit size.

Does the Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit need to be watered in?

• No. the Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit works via foliar uptake. Simply spray your lawn and allow it to dry.

Can I apply granular fertilizer or CarbonizPN-G on the same day as the Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit?

• Yes. We recommend that granular fertilizer and CarbonizPN-G be applied before the Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit.

Can I apply other liquids and the Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit on the same day?

• Yes. Other liquid products like fertilizer and Primo Maxx growth regulator can be mixed and sprayed at the same time as the Golf Course Lawn Carbon Kit. It can be mixed with fertilizers, other biostimulants, insecticides and herbicides.
