Prodiamine - Now available in 18lb bags (new) that cover up to 6,000 sq ft AND 45 lb bags that cover up to 15,000 sq ft.

If you have used our granular Prodiamine in the past, you may notice the bag is different. This is a new look from a new supplier. It's the same active ingredient, Prodiamine, and the spreader settings are the same, too. By changing suppliers, we are now able to offer not only the value of a 45lb bag but the option for smaller lawns of an 18lb bag.

0-0-7 Prodiamine is a granular pre-emergent designed to stop weeds in the lawn, such as crabgrass, poa annua, bittercress, chickweed, and henbit.

  • One 45 lb bag covers 15,000 sq ft at the rate of 3 lbs/1,000 sq ft
  • One 18 lb bag covers 6,000 sq ft at the rate of 3 lbs/1,000 sq ft
  • .37% Prodiamine is the active ingredient
  • Great for preventing crabgrass, poa annua (annual bluegrass), and more

Product Description:
Most DIYers use this product in spring to stop crabgrass. Crabgrass is an annual grassy weed that germinates in spring, grows lime green and large during summer, then towards the later fall, drops seeds. The following spring, the process starts all over again. This is why crabgrass is called an “annual” grassy weed. The good news is that crabgrass can be stopped very effectively using this product, which is formulated for use in DIY spreaders. It’s the same active ingredient the pros use.

The best time to apply Prodiamine is in the spring or fall, as soil temperatures are between 50F to 70F. Each application of 3 lbs/1,000 sq ft provides about 3 months of pre-emergence protection.

This weed and feed product is easy to apply using a broadcast spreader. It is a safe weed killer that won't kill your grass when used as directed. Granular prodiamine weed and feed is great for use in Bahiagrass, Centipedegrass, Bermudagrass, Zoysia, St. Augustinegrass, Seashore Paspalum, Tall Fescue (including turf-type).

Prodiamine is the active ingredient in this pre-emergent herbicide. The label spells out the rates in “pounds per acre” but we have converted the rates to "per 1000 square feet" values.

Pre-emergent also contains 7% potassium making it one of the best weed and feed products for your lawn.

Great for use in: Bahiagrass, Centipedegrass, Bermudagrass, Zoysia, St. Augustinegrass, Seashore Paspalum, Tall Fescue (including turf-type)
